Pensions

Well ladies, we will start with the good news, the average life expectancy of a female is 82.82 in 2015, (from the Office of National Statistics) and it is expected to rise to 87.60 by 2030, due to women living longer.

As we are now equal to men, well as far as retirement age is concerned, a large number of us will retire, if we are ‘lucky’ at age 66, but on what income? The cost of living seems to be growing and there are more demands on our income, the length of our working lives is getting longer and longer.

The State Pension is stretched to breaking point, with more people living longer and fewer people working to pay into the system, meaning the State retirement age could be set to age 70 and beyond! How many people want to work to this age, having worked hard all their lives?

Current State Pension income for 2017 is £159.55 per week ( £8,093.80 p.a ) assuming you have 35 qualifying years. Could you live on this alone?

How do you prevent this from happening? You need to take control of your own destiny.

A pension is a 'pot' for you to save in your own right for your future. Better still, pensions are a means for the government to give you money.

Due to the pension laws introduced on the 5th April 2015, you have even more flexibility to access your pension money.

So, what type of retirement do YOU want...........?

Once you have reach the point at which you wish to retire, how do you structure the fund that you have built up over the years?

**What is the best option for you?

**How much risk, if any, do you wish to take with your future retirement income?

These are all questions which we can help you with.
